Learn tips on how to make the most of your stop-smoking treatment | Website Launch in the Howard CentreReleased : Aug 8, 2006 Our Web Launch Day on 14 May in the Howard Centre was a great success and well worth all the work that had been put in to the website over the past year by the committee and the web designers. It was also testimony to the excellent way we work as a team.
The day started with Sue Pready and Diana Walsh handing out fliers to participants in the Rotary Club Walk, encouraging them to come for a free taster treatment after they'd finished. One or two of them actually did make it across the road to take up the offer! Other members worked hard to get the stand set up outside Marks & Spencer, with our brand new banner in pride of place, in time for the opening of the Howard Centre to the public. A steady stream of visitors came to the stand, many of them sampling one of the various taster treatments on offer, giving a donation to the Isabel Hospice in memory of Steve Waddingham. Fliers were distributed both to interested therapists and members of the public and a prize draw was held from the tear-off slips which were returned to us, giving us a new database of people interested in finding out more about our group. The winners were all delighted to receive their prizes of free treatments, generously donated by members. On the day, and since then there has been a good deal of positive and helpful feedback from members, the web designers and the public, including new client referrals starting to come through. Quite rightly, there was a great sense of achievement all round and the knowledge that firm foundations are now fully in place to support the next stage of the Group’s development. |
